According to European Union Health Regulation (432/2012), some Nutrients of the Olive Oil have already been officially acknowledged for Medical purposes. In reality, legislation is still slow since more than 50 categories of Olive Oil Nutrients are already patented for pharmaceutics.
We own a small laboratory to conduct chromatography analysis of our Wild Olive Oil which measures an approximation of some of the Nutrients. Then we conduct an organoleptic analysis (color, scent, taste, brightness, bitterness, pungency etc.). At this point we already know approximately the quality levels of our product.
We are in collaboration mainly with the World Olive Center for Health, University of Athens, University of Crete, University of Cordoba, Universidad de la Sabana and University of Nicosia where using sophisticated equipment and methods the samples are measured precisely as far as several nutrients are concerned. The same is performed at independent certified laboratories in European Union and USA such as TUV-Austria Labs, Chem Solutions etc. We receive the Top Awards from Universities and International Olive Oil Competitions steadily.
We hold the "highest" Organic Claim in E.U. - "Naturally Organic" - meaning that we do not use any kind of fertilizer / pesticide / chemical / plastic, in any process we conduct, land management / pressing / bottling / storage etc and no resources from outside the ecosystem have been used. In addition to that we are certified since 2004 as a “Fully Organic Olive Oil Producer” by “DIO” which is the relevant authority in Greece & TUV-NORD.
We are also registered to the European Program “Aristoil” as part of the research that takes place in order to “locate” the Nutrients of Olive Oil and increase the awareness of producers and consumers.
We are fully compliant with all the relevant authorities of:
