Dimitris' understanding of the processes of nature, combined with the ancestral knowledge passed from previous generations, ensures Medicinal Wild Olive Oil with the distinctive SPARTA Original Greek character and nutrients. His style & way of being are essential to bringing out the best in each year's harvest, in his words "humanism and health is our way of life". With his absolute affinity for all forms of life (flora & fauna), this atypical, unconventional CEO is a contemporary guardian of the true Spartan spirit.

TIMELINE

1896 - HARVEST
The family has produced olive oil for hundreds of years, the lineage traces to several centuries ago and embodies unions: the tradition with aesthetics, heritage with innovation, determination with gentleness.

1930 - OFFICIAL ESTABLISHMENT
The agreement between several members of the family that sort between them lands, responsibilities, possessions etc took place on that year.

1930 - THE FIRST STORE IN ATHENS
Following reformations after the 1st World War, a few members of the family at the time moved to Athens and began forwarding to the Athenean Market olive oil from the Family's land

1979 - THE YEAR REGISTERED AS AN OFFICIAL EXPORTING COMPANY
A larger commercialisation took place, hence the company had to officially undergo changes, obtain additional licences etc.

1989 - THE PIVOTAL YEAR
.It was the year when the current generations took the decision that led to today's milestone product in terms of health and style. For several years it was asked from the family to "produce more", "expand the system". Having in our blood thousands of years of knowledge, the previous generation CEO quoted:
"QUANTITY IS NOT THE ISSUE. QUALITY IS THE ISSUE. FOCUS ON THE PROCESS"

2008 - OFFICIAL RECOGNITION & DECLARATION OF THE ESTATE BY MINISTRIES, AUTHORITIES AND EU
On 2008 (Law 168D15-4-2008 & Law 107-4-4-2012) our Estate was officially declared and recognised by all relevant Ministries of Greece - Hellenic Democracy, Authorities of Sparta and European Union as "Wild Olive Forest", "Environment Preservation", "Protection of Forest & National Heritage", "Natural Renaissance", "Non intervention / alteration / intrusive" area since it is a 100% Natural Wild Olive Forest containing ruins of an Ancient Castle, Temple, Tower & Settlement.

2013 - SPARTA Original Greek
The evolution of the scientific methods that locate and measure quality is what highlighted our rare Medicinal Olive Oil. Total abscence of chemicals / fertilizers / pesticides / plastics / harmful elements with "skyhigh" beneficial nutrients (oleocanthal, polyphenols, vitamins, omega fatty acids etc), in unique and customized design and appearance.

2020 - WORLD'S HEALTHIEST OLIVE OIL
The World Record in Polyphenols with 4003 mg/kg (and Oleocanthal 2360mg/kg) took place that season, rendering our company officially a World Pioneer and Leader in the branch of Healthy and High Polyphenolic Olive Oil.
