According to European Union Health Regulation (432/2012), some Nutrients of the Olive Oil have already been officially acknowledged for Medical purposes. In reality, legislation is still slow since more than 50 categories of Olive Oil Nutrients are already patented for pharmaceutics.
We own a small laboratory to conduct chromatography analysis of our Olive Oil which measures an approximate of some of the Nutrients. Then we conduct an organoleptic analysis (color, scent, taste, brightness, bitterness, pungency etc.). At this point we already know the quality levels of our product.
We are in collaboration mainly with the University of Athens and the University of Nicosia where using sophisticated equipment and methods the samples are measured precisely as far as concerns several nutrients. The same is performed at independent private certified laboratories in European Union and USA. We receive awards from Universities and International Olive Oil Competitions steadily.
We hold the "highest" Organic Claim in E.U. - "Naturally Organic" - meaning that we do not use any kind of fertilizer / pesticide / chemical, in any process we conduct, land management / pressing / bottling / distribution etc. In addition to that we are certified since 2004 as a “Fully Organic Olive Oil Producer” by “DIO” which is the relevant authority in Greece & TUV-NORD.
We are also registered to the European Program “Aristoil” as part of the research that takes place in order to “locate” the Nutrients of Olive Oil and increase the awareness of producers and consumers.
